Flights to Palma (PMI)
Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) is the main gateway to the island. Over 60 UK airports offer direct flights, with Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2 and TUI all flying regularly. Flight time from the UK is approximately 2h 20min. Book early for the best prices — Easter, July and August sell out fast.
Car Hire — Recommended
Renting a car is strongly recommended in Mallorca. The airport has all major rental companies, and having a car opens up Cap de Formentor, the Tramuntana villages and dozens of beaches. Book in advance online for the best rates. Budget €30–60/day in peak season.
Airport Transfer / Bus
The TIB Bus 351 runs from Palma Airport to Alcudia in approximately 1h 15min. There is also a Palma city bus connection with a change needed. Pre-booked private transfers from the airport cost €50–80 and are the most hassle-free option if you're not hiring a car.
💡 Local tip: avoid driving into the old town
The old walled town of Alcudia has very limited parking and narrow streets. Park in the designated areas on the edge of town and walk in. In high season, the car parks fill up by 10am.
